Objective of the event
Give an overview of the NDC updates in the region.
Description
Between 2020 and 2021 most countries in Latin America and the Caribbean submitted renewed commitments to climate action. This event will provide an overview of innovations in the new national contributions. In addition, the offer of support from regional organisations for their implementation will be presented.
The event will start with a short introductory presentation and will then be divided into two sections. In the first section, two countries will be invited to discuss the process of updating their NDC and its most relevant elements. In the second section, international organisations will be invited to discuss the different services they provide to countries for the implementation of NDCs in LAC.
