Objective of the event
The main objective is the dissemination and exchange of experiences between the projects and initiatives of the participating organisations in Latin America.
Raising awareness of issues related to:
People's adaptation to climate emergencies, in their different countries and contexts.
Description
This event will be hosted by three organisations that support different networks of local governments in Latin America.
ANAMMA Brazil, Associação Nacional de Municípios e Meio Ambiente, will present its experiences and partners in the implementation of AbE measures, in a context of participatory public policies for biodiversity planning and means of financing its actions with the support of the private sector, subnational governments, universities and civil society organisations.
For RAMCC, Red Argentina de Municipios Frente al Cambio Climático, the objective of its presentation will be to show, through a specific case, how municipalities have been working on energy efficiency as a substantial tool for achieving the objectives of decarbonisation, as well as what our international strategic ally ADENE could do.
And this event will also provide a space for ambitious Latin American states and regions of the Under2 Coalition, Climate Group secretariat, to share their decarbonisation goals, plans and actions. During the event they will discuss the decarbonisation targets they have set, the trajectories they have mapped out (and a new tool for defining projections), and the actions they are taking.
